Bf 109G-14 serial number 463162 crashed near Bevtoft 9/3 1945.


The aircraft belonged to 4./ Erg JG 1 and was coded Blue 40.
T/o Hadersleben.  Op: Training.


Student pilot Unteroffizier Herbert Erlewein took off from Fliegerhorst Hadersleben at 08:05 hrs and crashed just after take off due to pilot error.
The Bf 109 came down northeast of Bevtoft village and was 98% damaged.
Herbert Erlewein suffered from cuts and was taken to Kriegslazarett Hadersleben.
