ME 410 B-2 710198 crashed into the sea near Gedser on 18/7-1944

The aircraft belonged to 4./ZG 26 and was coded 3U+EM.
T/o  Königsberg. OP: Defence of Germany

The ME 410 was apparently damaged during combat and the crew jumped out by parachute. Pilot Uffz Anton Ristits landed safely and thus saved his life. Bordfunker Uffz Kurt Kudling was reported lost.

The plane crashed into the sea and ended up about 50 meters off the beach near Bøtøgaard farm at 11:15 hrs. The farm is located about 14 km south east of Nykøbing Falster on the Danish island of Falster.

The ME 410 was declared to be a 100 % loss.
