Bf 109G crashed northeast of Aalborg 15/12 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 1./ JG 102 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg Ost.  Op: Training.


Student Pilot Gefreiter Heinz Heydolph was on a training flight when his Bf 109G crashed in a field belonging to Smallholder Poulsen of Rærup. The aircraft bored into the ground somewhere between 09:00 and 10:00 hrs in the morning and Heydolph was killed. The aircraft was a 100% loss.

Gefreiter Heinz Heydolph was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 21/12 1944.
 
Note: Heydolph was one of the students who belly landed their aircraft on 18/10 to escape the Mustangs.
