Bf 109G-12 serial number 19213 crashed north of Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 17/10-1944.

 
The aircraft belonged to 3./ JG 102 and was coded KG+JU.
T/o Aalborg West.  Op: Training.


Student pilots Feldwebel Günther Krüger and Gefreiter Heinz v. Wirdum were  approaching Fliegerhorst Aalborg West at 15 meters altitude when the Bf 109 hit a haystack and crashed just north of the Fliegerhorst.

The aircraft burst into flames and the two flyers lost their lives.
They were laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 21/10 1944.
