Bf 109G-6 serial number 15960 crashed south of Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 11/10 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 3./ JG 102 and was coded 351.
T/o Aalborg West.  Op: Training.


Feldwebel Valentin Franz  experienced problems with the Bf 109 and chosed to bail out at 150 metres altitude and fell to his death when his parachute failed to open properly.
The aircraft crashed in a field belonging to Knud Kjær of „Skelhøjgaard“, Nørholm south of Fliegerhorst Aalborg West..
Feldwebel Valentin Franc was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on  21/10-1944.
