Ju 88G-1 serial number 713496 crashed near Haderslev 7/10 1944.

The aircraft belonged to 8./ NJG 3 and was coded D5+JS
T/o Fliegerhorst Haderslev.  Op: Operational flight.

Pilot Oberleutnant Horst Henning, Oberfeldwebel Walter Brändle, Obergefreoter Erich Einloth and Unteroffizier Willi Dietrich had just taken off from Fliegerhorst Haderslev when the Ju 88 for unknown reasons crashed in a field near Ustrup south west of Haderslev town killing the crew.
This happened at 20:06 hrs and the Ju 88 was a total loss.
The crew were laid to rest in Esbjerg Fourfeld cemetery on 13/10 1944.

Authors comment: It should be noted that the JU 88 apparently took off towards east. The wind on this evening was from Northwest and this might well have caused the crash.
