Bf 110G-4 serial number 730112 crashed north of Fliegerhorst Vejle 16/9 1944.

The aircraft belonged to 1./ NJG 3 and was coded ?
T/o Schleswig/Jagel.  Op: Interception of bombers.


The Bf 110G piloted by Unteroffizier Ulrich Hintze and his crew of two was on a operationel flight when a fire broke out in one engine.
The aircraft circled the area at Kollemorten for a while before the crew left the aircraft by parachute and landed safely.
One landed at Kollemorten Krat near Nykirke and another landed in the same field where the aircraft crashed. Unteroffizier Hintze also landed in that field and broke a leg upon landing.
 
The Bf 110G crashed in a turnips field belonging to „Stenbrogaard“ farm. The exact time is not known but the crash was first reported at 05:15 hrs.
