Bf 109G-6 serial number 441004 crashed near Aalborg 12/6 1944.


The aircraft belonged to A/ JG 11 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg Ost. Op: Training.


Unteroffizier Albert Pieper was on a training flight with his flight when he at 15:40 hours was seen coming low over the waters of Limfjorden from Fliegerplatz Aalborg Ost towards northeast.
The Bf 109 hit the water surface just before reaching land and Pieper was thrown clear of the wreck and was found death on the beach.

The aircraft that was a 100 % loss was found in the water next to the beach belonging to Vesterladen farm.

Albert Pieper was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 20/6 1944.
