Bf 109G-6 serial number 412614 crashed in the Baltic Sea 29/5 1944.
 

The aircraft belonged to 6./ JG 3 and was coded Yellow 1.
T/o ?. Op: Interception of American bombers.


Oberfeldwebel Ernst Siebert flying Bf 109G-6 serial number 412614 was shot down over Fehmerrn Belt by Lt Robert C. Church of 335 Fighter Squadron USAAF flying Mustang 43-24817 coded WD-A and feel to his death.

On 30/5 at 19:30 hours the death body of Ernst Siebert was found washed ashore near Vandthore Strandhuse on the island of Lolland. He was laid to rest in København Vestre cemetery on 3/6 at 10:00 hours. The ceremony took place at the Eastern Chapel.
