Ar 196A-3 serial number 0135 crashed in the Limfjord near Aalborg 9/5 1944.


The aircraft belonged to Flieger Erg. Gruppe Zee, Kamp and was coded ?
T/o ?. Op: ?


The aircraft crashed into the Limfjord near Rørdal 2½ km northeast of Aalborg at 11:20 hours killing the two crew members. The German had recovered the wreck from the water on 10/5.

Pilot Hauptman Heinz Schubert and Navigator Oberfähnrich Fritz Wallmeier were laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 17/5 1944.
