FW 190 A-6 serial number 470606 crashed into the Baltic Sea 9/4 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 9./ JG 11 and was coded Gelbe 8+I
T/o ?. Op: Interception of American bombers.


The FW 190 crashed into the Baltic Sea killing Pilot Oberfähnrich Hans Werner Schobert.

On 29/5 1944 his dead body was retrieved from the sea near Nakskov and taken to København for burial. He was laid to rest in Vestre cemetery on 3/6 1944. The ceremony took place from the Eastern chapel at 01:00 hrs.
