Ju 88A-4 serial number 4316 crashed near Aalborg 27/2 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 11./ KG 30 and was coded 4D+MV.
T/o Aalborg West ? Op: Training.


The aircraft had been circling the area north of Aalborg in heavy snow showers for more than an hour when Pilot Unteroffizier Alexander Kugl attempted an emergency landing west of “Hvorup Mosegaard” farm about 5 kilometres north of Aalborg town.
 
The Ju 88 hit the ground in a shallow dive at 19:05 hours and was destroyed killing the crew of four.
Pilot Unteroffizier Alexander Kugel, Feldwebel Karl Baumann, Unteroffizier Alfons Kriesten and Unteroffizier Anton Kemper were laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 6/3 1944.
