He 177 serial number 550003 crashed at Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 22/2 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 4./ KG 100 and was coded KM+TC.

The He 177 collided with a Ju 88 during landing at Fliegerhorst Aalborg West destroying both aircrafts 100% and killing the He 177 crew.

Pilot Oberfeldwebel Helmuth Schmidt, Wop Feldwebel Richard Scheber and Air gunner Unteroffizier Josef Panzer were laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 26/2 1944.
