Ju 88A-4 serial number ? crashed near Nørre Halne 10/1 1944.


The aircraft belonged to 11./ KG 30 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg. Op: Training.


Early in the afternoon Ju 88A-4 serial number ? collided with Ju 88A-4 serial number ? over the northwestern dispersal area of Fliegerhorst Aalborg West and crashed to the ground in a field belonging to Skavgaard Farm southwest of Nørre Halne killing the crew of four.

Also the other Ju 88 fell to the ground and both were 100% losses.

Pilot Unteroffizier Walter Hartmann, Navigator Gefreiter Eberhard Eggers, Wop Gefreiter Rudolf Metzner and Engineer Gefreiter Kurt Carlsen were all laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 14/1 1944.


Note: It is not known for certain which aircraft crashed where.
