German fighter emergency landed near Øster Hornum 12/9 1943.


The aircraft belonged to ? and was coded ?

A German single seat fighter belly landed at 11:30 hours in a field belonging to Store Abildgaard farm near Øster Hornum.
 
The pilot was unharmed and walked over to the farm and asked to use the phone to call Aalborg. He was then invited to have dinner with the owner of Store Abildgaard Farmer Lars Peter Winter.
 
After a while the Wehrmacht arrived and guarded the aircraft. It was transported to Aalborg within a couple of days.
