Ju 88C-6 serial number 360141 crashed near Fliegerhorst Grove 12/9 1943.


The aircraft belonged to IV./ NJG 3 and was coded D5+LV.
T/o Grove. Op: Training.


The Ju 88 was on a training flight when it at 23:00 hours hit the ground at Tværmose about two kilometres west of Fliegerhorst Grove. The Ju 88 disintegrated upon impact, a fire erupted and the wreckage was engulfed in flames.

The aircraft was a 100% loss and the crew of three died.
Pilot Feldwebel Adalbert Deuschle, Wop Gefreiter Helmut Heinz and Air gunner Unteroffizier Heinz Drews were laid to rest in Lemvig cemetery on 16/9 1943.
A German field priest officiated at the graveside ceremony.
