FW 190A-4/Y serial number 5548 crashed near Aalborg 8/3 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 9./ JG 1and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg Op: Test flight.


Unteroffizier Friedrich Knorr took off for a test flight after repairs performed following a crash landing on 11/1 1943.
Between 11:00-12:00 hours the aircraft suddenly crashed to the ground a few metres east of “Henrikshvile” farm near Bovet northeast of Aalborg.

The aircraft was a 100% loss and Friedrich Knorr died.
He was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 11/3 1943.
