Ju 88A-5serial number 2441 crashed during take off from
Fliegerhorst Aalborg West 4/3 1943.
The aircraft belonged to 11./ KG 30 and was coded ?
T/o Aalborg West. Op: Training.
The aircraft collided with a vehicle from 3.Flughafenbetriebskompanie./ KG 6
killing four ground crews and injuring two men. The aircraft was a 100% loss but
the flight crew were unharmed.
The ground personnel were Obergefreiter Helmut Schreiber, Gefreiter Roman Tymann
and Unteroffizier Gerhardt Müller who died right away while Unteroffizier Bruno
Klabunde died from fracture of the scull later on the same day in Luftwaffe
Lazarett Aalborg.
They were all laid to rest in Frederaikshavn cemetery on 9/3 1943.
Gefreiter Willi Fahr was injured and taken to Luftwaffe Lazarett Aalborg for
treatment while Flieger Josef Franke was taken to Fliegerhorst Krankenrevier
Aalborg West.
