Ju 88A-14 serial number 144346 crashed near Fliegerhorst Grove 26/2 1943.


The aircraft belonged to 1./ KG 6 and was coded ?
T/o Grove. Op: Training.


The Ju 88 had just dropped its concrete training bomb in the designated area and turned south.
It had just started to circle the lookout tower when the left hand wing touched the ground and the aircraft crashed with the loss of all onboard. It cart wheeled towards east and became a 100% loss.

Pilot Unteroffizier Horst Kuhle, Navigator Obergefreiter Leo Przekwasinski, Wop Unteroffizier Friedrich Kumk and Air gunner Gefreiter Ulrich Kau were laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 3/3 1943.
