BV 138C serial number 1008 crashed near København 8/2 1943.


The aircraft belonged to Fl Erg.Gr. (See) Kopenhagen and was coded 6H+NH.
T/o København See. Op: Escort for 27 U-boot flotille.


Three minutes after take off from København See the BV 138 lost height and crashed at 12:30 hours into Kløvermarken airfield. The aircraft caught fire and was a 100% loss.

Pilot Leutnant Bruno, Wop Leutnant Walter Link and Engineer Unteroffizier Herbert Vogel were all injured while Navigator Leutnant Wilhelm Giebfried lsot his life.
He now rest in København Vestre cemetery.
