Bf 109E-7 serial number 3917 crashed near Fliegerplatz Aalborg Ost 15/8-1942.


The aircraft belonged to Erg.Jagd. Gr. Ost and was coded ?
T/o ? Op: Transfer flight.


At 13:08 hours the Bf 109 crashed 1 kilometre southwest of Fliegerplatz Aalborg Ost killing Pilot Unteroffizier Anton Hunold.
The crash is believed to be due to pilot error and the aircraft was a 100% loss.

Unteroffizier Anton Hunold was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 22/8 1942.
