Ju W34 Hi emergency landed at Helnæs 25/3 1942.


The aircraft is believed to have belonged to LDKdo 61 of Bad Zwischenahn and was coded DB+LD.

The Ju W34 landed on the island of Helnæs 1,5 kilometres north of the Helnæs lighthouse at 16:10 hours due to engine failure.
An oil pipe was leaking and the front window was soiled in oil. The aircraft was not damaged and the crew were unharmed.

A team from Flughafenbereicht Seeland arrived and repaired the aircraft.
