Avia 534 serial number 301 crashed near Herning 8/8 1941.


The aircraft belonged to Jagdgruppe Drontheim (Jagdfl. Schule 3) and was coded ?
T/o Grove. Op: Training.


During training Student Gefreiter Werner Reim got into a spin and crashed in a field near Torup north of Herning.
Apparently the aircraft hit the ground in a flat angle and Reim was found sitting dead in the cockpit. He was laid to rest in Aalborg cemetery.
The aircraft was 95% damaged.
