Ar 96B emergency landed near Tranebjerg 17/7 1941.


The aircraft belonged to JGr Drontheim and was coded DC+Weisse 101.
T/o ? Op: ?

The Ar 96 emergency landed in a field belonging to Sandholm farm near Tranebjerg on the island of Samsø. Probably due to engine failure as the windscreen was covered with engine oil.

Pilot Unteroffizier Günther Kleid was unharmed. The aircraft was taken apart and removed by the Luftwaffe.
