Bf 109E serial number 3559 crashed in the North Sea 26/5 1941.


The aircraft belonged to Jagdgruppe Drontheim (Jagdfl. Schule 3) and was coded ?
T/o Grove Op: Training.


The aircraft crashed into the North Sea 5-6 kilometres NW of Klitmøller.
Pilot Unteroffizier Alfred Hermann Aller bailed out but the parachute was caught up by the Bf 109 and he was pulled down with the aircraft.
 
The crew from Peiler Klitmøller retrieved the dead body from the sea.
The Bf 109 was a 100% loss.
 
Unteroffizier Alfred Aller was laid to rest in Aalborg cemetery.
