Ar 196 serial number 0101 crashed in the sea of Skagerak 9/4 1941.


The aircraft belonged to 1. / Küstenfliegergruppe 706 (U) and was coded ?
T/o Skagerak. Op: Feindflug.


Apparently the Ar 196 had landed in the sea of Skagerak and crashed when attempting to take off again and sank.
The aircraft was a 100% loss while the crew were unharmed.

 

 

The aircraft was salvaged from the sea and taken to Aalborg See.
