Ju 88C-2 serial number 0190 crashed in the North Sea 16/9 1940.


The aircraft belonged to 3. / NJG 2 and was coded R4+RH.-
T/o Gilze-Rijen. Op: Feindflug.


The aircraft is recorded to have been hit by flak near Lincoln in England and must have crashed into the North Sea with the loss of the crew.

Pilot Feldwebel Werner Palm was found washed ashore near Skagen on 28/11 1940 and was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 2/12 1940.

Gefreiter Hans Reinisch and Gefreiter Rudolf Haberland have no known graves.
