Do 18 emergency landed at Ringkøbing Fjord 25/4 1940.


The aircraft belonged to 2./ KFG 406 and was coded K6+LK.
T/o 07:40 Hörnum Op: ?


The Do 18 made an emergency landing at Ringkøbing Fjord due to lack of petrol at 18:27 hours.

It was decided to have the Hilfsflugsicherungsschiff Wal XI depart from Thyborøn harbour at 11:20 hours on 26/4 to meet the Do 18 at the Hvide Sande canal.
 
The Wal XI and K6+LK met at 14:30 and the Do 18 was taken in tow to List where it arrived at 06:45 on 27/4 1940.
