Ju 88A-1 crashed into the sea of Skagerak 9/4 1940.
The aircraft belonged to Stab. III./ KG 30 and was coded ?.
T/o ? Op: Weserübung.
The Ju 88 was damaged by flak when attacking enemy ships off Norway and crashed
into the sea of Skagerak with the loss of all onboard.
Unteroffizier Karl-Heinz Ullrich was found washed ashore near Thyborøn on 31/5
1940 and was laid to rest in Lindholm cemetery on 1/6 1940.
On 18/6 the body of Leutnant Ulrich Zahn was found near Bovbjerg and was laid to
rest in Lindholm cemetery on the same day with Parish vicar Carl Nielsen
officitiating at the graveside ceremony.
The body of Gruppenkommandeur Hauptmann Siegfried Mahrenholtz was found washed
ashore near Thyborøn on 27/7 and was laid to rest in Lindholm cemetery on 30/7
1940.

On 6/7 1940 Unteroffizier Siegfried Constabel was laid to rest in Lemvig
cemetery.

Those who rested in Lindholm cemetery were disinterred in the sixties and buried
in Grove cemetery.
