Blenheim IV R3821 crashed at Aalborg West on 13/8-1940. The aircraft belonged to RAF 82 Sqn. Bomber Command and was coded UX-N. Pilot P/O Hale managed to get thru to the airfield, but before Observer Sgt. Oliver could unload the bombs R3821 was hit by flak from 3/Flak Abt.615 and crashed on Aalborg West, its bomb load exploding on impact. Pilot P/O Earl R. Hale, Observer Sgt Ralston G. Oliver and Air gunner Sgt. Alfred E. Boland were
all killed and were laid to rest in Vadum cemetery on 16/8 1940.
