Blenheim IV R1933 crashed in Restrup enge on 13/8-1940.

The aircraft belonged to RAF 82 Sqn. Bomber Command and was coded UX-C.
T/o 0840 Watton OP:Aalborg.

Still heading for Aalborg West now at 3000 feet R1933 was hit by flak from 5/Flak Abt.615 based at Nørholmsvej south of Limfjorden. It had to let go of its bombs over farmland at Restrup but was then hit directly in the fuselage, lost its tail section and fell to the ground.

Navigator Sgt Leslie R. Youngs

Navigator Sgt Leslie R. Youngs managed to get out, but his parachute failed to open and he fell to his death. Still inside the wreck were Pilot P/O Douglas A.J. Parfitt and Gunner Sgt Kenneth W. Neaverson. They were all laid to rest in Vadum cemetery on 16/8 1940.
